- Use VIP and replace sick calls, short notice leaves and any other direction given by manager.

- Set up training for new employees and orientation

- Unit Support huddles daily

- Daily rounds to check on Unit Support Workers and deal with issues they may have during their work day.

- Projects that the Manager assigns to you and extra daily work tasks

- Education with employees, assisting them with online learning.

- Problem solving and conflict resolution within the department.

- Support the unit by ordering supplies, maintaining special ordering, picking up health records, take lab specimen's, go to transfusion's for blood products, clean rooms and equipment, clean and set up Operating Rooms , assisting nursing staff with tasks, taking direction from unit manager and coordinator and organizing unit to have good flow. During my time as a USW, I was a TPHD supervisor for the last 5 years.

As a porter at the Regina General Hospital I transported patients to and from their tests, went to health records, took specimen's to the lab , transported linen, delivered supplies, respectfully transported deceased patients to the morgue and education courses assigned by the Sask Health Authority.

I worked twice in the Portering during my time with the Sask Health Authority from 1999-2025.

In Nutrition and Food I started out working in the bake shop area, assisting the cook with baking, then I moved to tray line where I assembled and delivered patient food trays. I also worked in the Starbucks and the Heartbeat Cafe that the hospital ran for many years.
