Manage all health aspects of cattle including bedding, pen conditions, processing protocols, treatment protocols, organization of hospital pens, determination of rail animal’s, proper euthanasia of animals, checking and treating of distressed animals and doing postmortems. Helped with pen placement and shipping schedules of cattle. Managed pen checking crew which consisted of training new pen checkers, determining who checked what pens, making sure animals were properly diagnosed and treated and managing sick pens.

Primary role was checking and treating of distressed animals. Also helped with processing, fixing fence and equipment operating.

Taking cattle in spring and sorting and sending home in fall. Checking and treating distressed cattle. Moving cattle for rotational grazing, pulling bulls, fixing fence, distributing mineral and salt and any other duties assigned by pasture manager.
