In my current role as an assistant professor at the Bratislava University of Economics and Business, I specialise in Business English, Business Negotiations in the English Language.

My courses delve into the theoretical aspects of business, business negotiations, including stages of negotiations, building relationships, strategies and tactics, principles of persuasion, and closing the deal. Additionally, I emphasise the intercultural dimension of negotiations, ensuring that students are well-prepared to navigate the complexities of international business interactions.

I also teach Practical Rhetoric, a course designed to prepare students for real-life situations in which they will need to present or speak publicly on various topics. This course focuses on developing students’ presentation skills, structuring arguments effectively, using persuasive language, and managing stage presence and voice modulation. Through simulated speaking scenarios and peer feedback, students gain confidence and competence in public speaking, which is essential for their future professional roles.

As an English language teacher, I taught students in the age range of 14 to 18 years old. I implemented innovative techniques for teaching the language, as well as real-life situational case studies.

In this position, I oversaw the work of teaching and administrative staff; ensured the material and operational needs of the school; developed and managed class schedules; coordinated student admissions; secured sponsorships and external partnerships; and conducted negotiations with the school’s governing body.

As a deputy headmaster, my task, besides teaching English language, was to develop and manage class schedules, coordinate substitute teaching arrangements, guide and supervise the work of teaching staff, and prepare reports, resulting in better decision-making processes.

I delivered English instruction at the primary level, enhancing student engagement and also led the English language club, fostering a passion for language among participants.

As the Office manager for the Slovak republic I facilitated effective client communication to address needs and expectations, conducted interpreting and translation services to ensure clear understanding.

One of the tasks was to organise meetings and lectures for clients to enhance engagement, participate in organisation of weekend seminars to promote knowledge sharing.
